| Wayne was appointed President of
Keele University UKIP in October 2005 and was successfully elected
the following year. In 2005 he was elected onto the Newcastle-under-Lyme
UKIP branch as Secretary and sits on the West Midlands Committee.
Wayne was involved in the 2006 and 2007 Borough Council elections,
standing as a candidate in the latter, increasing the UKIP vote
by 220% on a decreased turnout He is very active in the
Newcastle ward, campaigning on local issues throughout the
year. As of 01/08/07, Wayne will be taking up the position
of Executive Chairman of Young Independence, the new official
Youth wing of the party
